The Planning Initiative was launched by Dave Dale in 1996 and has been run as a successful planning practice consultancy since. Cathy Dale (Ferguson) has has worked with the company since 1996 and became a full member in 2008. David Briginshaw joined the firm in 2007 and in 2012 he became a full member of the firm. Mnqobi Dlamini joined the company in 2017.
